  1. May 26,  · I've played the two XTC LP's in comparison to the later Virgin vinyl re-released in the UK (Virgin OVED 60 for White Music) and they are far superior, as they are to the two CD releases I have - the original UK Virgin UK CD and the remaster. I don't have an original Virgin UK LP with which to compare.
  2. This might not be the case if they could produce more than one great song from these recent releases. "The Ballad Of Peter Pumpkinhead" and "Easter Theatre" give hope for XTC's direction, but the whole albums are very disappointing. I got on too much of a tangent. Sorry. Back to White Music. This has two classic songs on one release/5(43).
  3. White Music, an Album by XTC. Released on Caroline (catalog no. CAR ; CD). Genres: New Wave, Post-Punk, Zolo.

Xtc - White Music - Cd phahangwarbmapmentforreconfokohode.coinfo Even if the throbbing "Radios in Motion" had its moments of teenage new-wave sloganeering ("All the kids are complaining that there's nowhere to go, all the kids are complaining that the songs are too slow"), White Music proves that XTC were always something more than bumpkin punks. For a start, Andy Partridge loved the Beatles, a /5(44).

  6. White Music is the first studio album by the English band XTC, released on 20 January It was the follow-up to their debut, 3D EP, released three months earlier. 7. Aug 28,  · referencing White Music, LP, Album, VIP this was the first lp by xtc and the only japan pressing this lp got in , this comes with a standard two page japan insert and a very nice thick green obi strip, the sleeve is rather thin, this one pops up complete from time to time, this was probably the most punky record by this great band4/5().
  8. XTC's first full album, White Music shows the band going full-throttle in true punk spirit. More dissonant than their latter period, the young band shines with directionless energy and a good sense of humor. Highlights include the catchy singles "This Is Pop" and "Radios in Motion" as well as a jumpy version of "All Along the Watchtower.".
